This technique would be really useful for me as I do Brochures and Posters using only PS CS4. I followed the video carefully and it went fine until right up to the point when I try to take away the unwanted part of the marquee selection. I press alt+cmd and click on the alpha channel thumbnail, but instead of the part over the figure disappaearing, the rest of the marquee channel disappears and I’m left with the part of the marquee channel I wanted to remove now surrounded by “marching ants”.

Can you pleas help? I’ve tried it a dozen times with the same result. Maybe I’m making some basic mistake.

Good afternoon,
I ‘m 74 years old and have been online for a fews years/ I purchased ABODE but found it too complicated. I make up my own leafets. IT would help if I could learn how to crop and rap around a text -can you help.?
