Corey shows us how to use Smart Objects from Illustrator to Photoshop
- Copy the object from Illustrator and Paste into Photoshop.
- In the Paste options, make sure that you that you paste it as a smart object.
- Warp will not be available as an option
- Turn the Smart Object into a nested Smart Object and you will be able to use a warp
- Load the smart object as the selection by command clickking the Smart Object Layer
- Remove the color information of the selection by clicking on Shift-Command-U
- If you edit the original object in Illustrator, changes will propogate down to the PSD document
Rod Harlan shows us how to set an up an animation that seamlessly runs in After Effects
- Make sure that the illustration that you have has ends that perfectly align with one another.
- Import the PSD file in Illustrator and select Offset (Filter>Distort)
