Corey uses Photoshop to transform a video clip into a stylized image using the Import Video Frames as Layers command.
- Open Photoshop and import video frames as layers
- Activate every other frame and add a layer mask
- Hold down Option/Alt key when adding the layer masks to block out the contents of that layer
- Using a brush tool and painting in white, bring back te subject in each of the frames
- This technique creates an interesting composite of still images from your video
RC goes over a couple of different ways to get your video file onto the web using Flash and Dreamweaver.
- You have to convert your movie file before bringing it into Dreamweaver. There are 3 options for doing this:
- First option - open a new Flash doc and import your video
- Second option is to use the Flash CS3 Video Encoder to convert your movie file into the .flv format
- The third option is to use Mac-only software called VisualHub to convert your video
- Once you have your .flv file, open Dreamweaver, define your site, and bring the new video file in
- Open a new htm document in Dreamweaver and use the Find Media button to bring it in
- If you are using a template, you may have to use RC's workaround before you can import the video
RC and Corey announce the winner of last week's Layers TV contest and give out a new contest question. Tune in to find out.
