Corey talks about creating and using Actions in Illustrator.
- Open the Actions palette by going under the Windows menu
- Choose new action and assign it to an Fkey.
- Record the steps of the new action, save it, and then you can use it anytime you need to complete that task again
- Use the place a function command to include a menu function in your action
- Use button mode to display easy-to-use buttons for quick access to your actions
RC goes over some of the new features of Lightroom 2 that you need to be aware of.
- Hold down the Alt/Option key when opening the Lightroom application to switch to different catalogs
- Remember that in Lightroom 2, you don’t have the option of moving one collection into another unless you are using collection sets
- Save new sub-collections under an overall set
- These new cataloging tools will help keep your photos organized
- You can also create module-specific collections, like slideshows
