Happy Friday everyone. Let’s keep this on a news update note for the time being, shall we?

Lightroom 1.4.1 and Camera Raw 4.4.1 Released to the Wild
According to Tom Hogarty at the Lightroom Journal Blog, Lightroom 1.4.1 and Camera Raw 4.4.1 have officially been sent into the wild. If you may recall, the last release of Lightroom 1.4 caused its fair share of problems, and was immediately retracted by Adobe. After a good kicking of the tires, it seems that this release is now ready to hit the masses. Layers TV Contest Winner
This was brought to my attention this morning. Apparently in this week’s episode of Layers TV, the contest winner is not announced! It seems like a little editing malfunction is to blame here. Let me take this moment to point out that Michael Saltzman is the winner of this week’s contest, which asked about a specific article on the Layers website. The article was “Get in the Mix” by.. well.. me! Thanks to all of you for playing in the contests, and for checking us out and keeping us honest. I really appreciate it.

Dave Cross on Smart Strokes

While we are on the Dave Cross trip – make sure that you go to his blog and leave him a comment. I saw a small post that said that his Barbershop Chorus made the Tampa paper!. Dave is very proud, and very much into the work that he does with the chorus. If you’ve ever listened to them, they just sound amazing. So go to his site, and make sure you give him a “Way to go”.

The New Nikon Coolpix P80
In a frantic search to find something that would allow me to not have to carry around my D300 and tons of lenses to the next birthday party, I’ve been keeping a look out for a cool, small camera to throw in a bag. Seems that Nikon is answering that call with the Nikon Coolpix P80. Viewfinder? Check. 10.1 Megapixels? Check. Super Zoom at 18x? Check! As soon as I can get my hands on it, I’ll post a review. Looks promising though..
