Lightroom 2.2 | SVA Online | 7 Positions of Light
Hey everyone. Here are some cool things to check out for today, while I freeze myself (Funny how a year down in FL can totally change your outlook on weather):
Lightroom 2.2 Update
Lightroom has released a new update – 2.2 – with a laundry list of fixes. Now, I can’t 100 percent confirm any of these fixes because I’m usually one of those “Oh, I don’t know.. I really don’t want this fix breaking something” and totally dragging my feet on the upgrade.. but I think it holds good promise:
To get the fix, I’d recommend going to the Lightroom Journal Blog, reading up on the changes there from the team, then downloading it.

The Seven Positions of Light
Jean Francois O’Kane is at it again, working to get you out of your design rut. To that end, he has put together a video on how to work a light in a variety of ways. The most compelling notion here is MOVE! Get that light in a different position!

SVA’s MPS in Digital Photography ONLINE
THIS is awesome news. Simply put, The School of Visual Arts is one of the Gold Standards of art institutions. Katrin Eismann is one amazing instructor. Imagine being able to get your Masters degree from SVA, under this kind of experience.
The MPS in Digital Photography has now gone online, offering a great experience for those who want to take Digital Photography to the next level. Now, you can take two parts of this curriculum online, and go to NYC to complete the Thesis project. It sounds like an amazing experience. I have to say, I was a bad college student in my (relative) youth. I’ve always wanted to go back to Academics, now with more wisdom under my belt – time always gets in the way. Something like this would be right up my alley. Heck, even the guest speaker list looks like a who’s who of imaging.
For more information on this program click on this link. If you have any specific question on its requirements, make sure to email Katrin at mpsphoto -at- sva.edu. They are going to re-post their digital open house, and when they do, count on me to cover it.
Have a wonderful day everyone. Back tomorrow!
