Lightroom Galleries Look Very Promising

Hey Guys:

I was checking out Scott Kelby’s site and I saw that he made mention of a website called Lightroom Galleries. After jumping up and down over the coolness of these fresh designs for templates, I wondered how easily it was going to be to pop them into a Dreamweaver template-based site. (I’m on a mission to make templates work!)

Check those sites out for some really cool galleries in Lightroom. I think that if we can incorporate them into sites, it could be something big.

A couple of readers asked if there were other programs out there that can give you a quick and dirty Flash gallery. Swishpix has always been decent at getting something up fast, as well as Pixtivity. Both of them offer a quick way to create Flash-based galleries with some categorization. Pixtivity doesn’t seem so kitschy, but I thought it was a little buggy when I first tried it.

Finally, in non-Adobe News: Dave Cross turned me on to a program called Bloglines. Rather than going down your list of the 100 blogs that you keep track of, you can have Bloglines do it for you. After logging in, you can scan and see who has updated and then go straight there. Best of all, it’s FREE.

Have a great Monday everybody.

I was reading my buddy R.C. Concepcion’s site “Layers – The how to magazine for everything adobe” and saw some more information on Lightroom’s galleries I want to share with those who have their domains [here's the link].
