Lou Reed, Sean Duggan, and a Canon HV30
CATEGORIES: Living In Layers | RC | May 12, 2008
At work this morning, my buddy Dave Korman told me to check out a neat Flash site, that of Musician Lou Reed. I thought it was a really interesting way to start off our Tuesday - a little Flash inspiration of sorts. Make sure you check out the site by clicking on this link. Thanks Dave, and congratulations on your Creative Loafing review of your new CD!
CDW, Adobe, & Matt Kloskowski
On June 3, 2008 at the good ol' Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Matt Kloskowski will be speaking at a Creative Suite 3 Symposium, which will run from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This symposium is a great place for you go and expand your knowledge of the Creative Suite. Maybe I'll find my way up there (or give Matt the HV30) and bring you guys back a video entry. Registration is sure to sell out quickly. Oh wait.. that's right.. it's FREE!
Click on the Jump for a cool tutorial on Creative Contrast by Sean Duggan.
Sean Duggan is the Co-author of The Creative Digital Darkroom with Katrin Eismann. He's an amazing photographer and instructor and in this tutorial he gives us great details about working with an image to get the most contrast that you can get out of it. You'll love this one.

The Canon Vixia HV30 - So Far
Speaking of the HV30 - I'm digging the Canon HV30. I have been really excited about the HV20 camera for a while now, but then a couple of weeks ago, we received the Canon HV30 to play with. It seems similar to the HV20, but I don't want to say too much until I pull all of the video from the tape of this past week. The cool thing about the HV30 is its ability to do the 30fps, which should help with getting videos up to vid sharing sites. I'll let you know what I think as soon as I upload it. Nice experience so far though.
Can't wait to check out the HF10

Have a great Tuesday everyone. We'll see you back here tomorrow!

RC,
The way you are mostly into web design topics. I would like to see the following from you.
a book that is written in the famous Scott Kelby style that mostly relates to cool CSS things in dreamweaver for the majority of the book and maybe have a cool SPRY related project as the last chapter. Maybe call it The CSS Book for Dreamweaver Web Designers or something of the sort.
I would also like to see you have another podcast called The Dreamweaver & Flash Killer Tips podcast in that format as well in addition to what you already do.
Please post something to let us know if these things may be possible from you.

Hey Jason:
Looking into this as we speak.. as soon as a get a confirm, i'll let you know where you can get it. You know.. all sorts of lawyer-y type stuff.Hey Daniel:
Those are both ideas i've tossed around quite a bit.. you may see something like that in the future.. maybe.. just maybe. Glad i'm not the only one who feels that way too.
