Lumix GH1 | National Geographic Contest | Contest Time
Hey everyone. A couple of things to share, and then the contest:
Phillip Bloom on the Panasonic Lumix GH1
Phillip Bloom got a pre-production Panasonic Lumix GH1, and has a pretty cool first impression of it. While it may not be a 35mm lens but the amount of controls available on the camera makes up for it. The footage that he has posted on it seems pretty compelling, so i’m happy about that. Video is funny.. it’s one of those things that I enjoy doing, but don’t really get that much time to work on.. wish I did. Cameras like this can totally get me working on it.

Energizer/National Geographic Photo Contest
A couple of days ago, I got a message from a company called M80 – and man was I sure glad they sent it. Turns out that National Geographic and Energizer batteries have a contest called the 2009 Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest! Check this out:
“Do you have a winning shot? Send in your best photos—in categories like Animals/Wildlife, Travel, and Weather—for a chance to win a National Geographic Expeditions trip for two to the Galápagos Islands! The winning photo will also be featured in National Geographic magazine.
This year, the Energizer Ultimate Photo Contest is all about you. Send in your photos, rate contest entries, see how your favorites are doing, and ask award-winning photographer and contest judge Jim Richardson your photography questions.”
Thanks to M80 for keeping us in the loop over here. And good luck to those who submit into the contest!
