i totally agree with dermot o connor.

i thought i would love the motion editor, but i don't. the fact that a custom ease to not apply the th x,y,z properties unless you scale it's total duration to the amount you need for teach keyframe is totally unusable too.

the "classec" tween model is "ok," and i've learned to work around the limitations... but until the motion model matches after effects... i'll be a "classic tween guy."

This is an animation method that only an engineer could love. It's appalling.

I've worked in animation since 1988, in feature, TV & interactive. I've used Flash since 2000 (Flash 4).

The new animation tools are close to unusable. The process of dragging a keyframe from one point on the timeline to another requires clicking off the timeline, holding ctrl, selecting the keyframe, lifting off ctrl then moving the frame. (!!!!!!)

The arc system would have been nice, were the arcs not prone to turning into S-shaped gibberish forms when the symbol is moved more than once.

As to the new ease-in tools - again, for real animators (not symbol pushers for banner ads) they're nothing short of a nightmare.

Suffice to say that I'll be sticking with Flash 8 or CS3. If CS4 is the future of Flash, then the time has come for me to switch to ToonBoom and/or After Effects.

Note to Adobe: next time try talking to professional character animators, not suits & second rate hacks. Thanks.

Hmm seems like Adobe added some systems used in After Effects to flash, looks like it's more easier for an animation workflow
