I have a Nikon D90 and I just recently purchased a D700. I tried to compare both cameras by using a Nikkor 50mm 1.8D lens on both, and noticed that the D90 shoots faster than the D700. I was using the same apeture setting, with the same subject, same lighting on apeture-priority mode. Why is my D700 slower than the D90, isn't this lens compatible with both DX and FX format? I was wondering if my D700 is defective.

I got it in August ´08 and after half a year of using it, I even love it more. Very happy with it, nothing more to say.

A quick question if I may you mentioned the Nikon’s 70-200mm f/2.8 VR lens (is this a DX lens) is not effected by DX crop on the D700 I have the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 DX doe's this lens also escape the DX issue with the FX sensor.
Cheers
