Only Part of My Page is Printing. What Up with That?

You print an illustration on your laser printer and only part of the illustration prints and the rest is getting cut off. Is this a problem with my file, the printer, or an Illustrator bug?

It’s far more likely that a little known tool called the Page tool is the culprit. If you click on your page with this tool (on purpose or totally by accident), the Printable Area of the page will move causing the symptoms described above. To cure the problem, uncover the Page tool, which is may be hidden under the Hand tool, and simply double-click on the tool itself. Your Printable Area should snap right back into position. Problem cured!
