Patterns and Shapes in Adobe Illustrator

This tutorial is based on an advertisement that uses patterns and shapes to create a unique design effect. Corey recreates the effect using Adobe Illustrator.

I believe I saw the exact same ad you are referencing here, Corey. As soon as I saw it I started thinking about how I could mimic it in Photoshop/Illustrator. Your way is much quicker than mine and your results look better, so thanks very much for posting this!
