Jay,

I've tried reading through the comments here but can't seem to find out how you get 'Panoresults' to show up under the Window tab. It doesn't show for me in Bridge CS4 at all, even tried the panorama with only 3 images to see if it was taking to long because of all the images, but no, that still didn't work.

How can I get this feature? It would be so much easier seeing the preview there then having to wait and try every option to figure out the best.

Thanks,

Zach,
Photomerge is based on having portions of each image overlap to give Photoshop the necessary information to calculate the position of each image. Your best bet will probably be to use the Image Stack method mentioned above, manually position the images in the correct location, then select auto blend to blend any edges or mis-registration.

I have several arial images where the edge of one exactly matches the edge of the next without overlap. Is there a way to pick the corresponding points and let PS rotate an join them into one image?

Graham,

You'll need to save the Photomerge as an iPhoto-friendly file format. I'd recommend either JPEG or a flattened TIFF and manually import the panorama into iPhoto. Be sure to save a copy of your panorama with all your layers in case you need to someday perform adjustments to the full-resolution, layered panorama.

Crystal,

First off, congratulations on the new addition to your family. Now to your original question. There are a couple of ways you could approach this, though I don't think that Photomerge is the best tool to show the progression of your pregnancy.

My first thought is to create a large canvas and tile the progression of your pregnancy (e.g. month 1, 2, 3, 4, etc). You would open each image as a separate layer in PS and arrange them manually to suit your layout.

A second idea is to open the images in PS Extended as a layer stack (File>Scripts>Load Files Into Stack) then create a time-lapse video. Look on this site to see if there is a tutorial for creating time-lapse video in PS. If not, you can find one here. http://www.prorgb.com/video-slideshow-in-pscs4

Graham,

Try clicking on the topmost layer in the layers panel. If no layers are selected, most of the options in the Image menu are grayed out. If that doesn't work, please let me know and we'll continue to troubleshoot from there.

Sandy,
If you're working in Photoshop CS4 Extended, try the load images into a stack option File>Scripts>Load images into stack and position the images in roughly the correct position. Then, select all the layers in the layers panel and select Auto-Align then select auto-blend. Hopefully, this will force Photoshop to align images correctly.

I am desperately trying to do a photomerge in photoshop cs4 but every time I try it doesn't put the photos together and just puts them one above the other vertically and won't do anything horizontally, although the images are horizontal - any ideas?

Hi - I am trying to do photomerge in Adobe CS4 - I have tried from Bridge and Photoshop and the final result is 4 images - unmerged - set out one below the other - it will not do any panoramic stitching at all. (horizontally)
Any idea what I can do?

Problem: I can photomerge images into a panorama, using CS4, but when I try to edit the stitched image using "Image">"Adjustments" in the Menu Bar, the tools are disabled, i.e., become shaded type. I've tried about everything...such as combining them as 16 bit, merging them as 8 bit, using .DNG files, .PSD files, .TIF files, and .JPG files, to no avail. Once they are merged, these particular tools become disabled. I've tried saving the stitched image, and then opening it into Photoshop CS4 again, but these tools are still not accessible. Is there anyone out there who has had a similar experience? Thanks for your help........RP

Great demo, thank you for your time!
Is this possible to use when you want to show a progression of a pregnancy with the same person over a nine month span? I'm not sure how to achieve this? I tried with just some regular pics of myself and ps does not really merge the pics at all. I'm assuming because there is no overlap. How can you create an overlap of just one person standing in front of a solid backdrop?
Thanks ;)
