Living In Layers - The OFFICIAL Layers Magazine Blog
Quicktime 7.4 Problems | DV Confidential at PMA | Lightroom Killer Tips Flickr Group

Let’s kick off the morning with a little HDR inspiration from our own Photoshop User Magazine Editor, Issac Stolzenbach. Here we go:
Last couple of days, the internet has been buzzing a little about the update of Quicktime to version 7.4. In short, it seems like the update is causing some pretty big problems with some users of video editing apps like Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects. I got some information from The Unofficial Apple Weblog that points to it, and while there still is a bit of back and forth on whether this is a move by Apple on the DRM front, it does seem like it has a little bit of traction. Michael Coleman, Product Manger for After Effects, has posted a note on his blog stating that users should (in the meantime) stay away from the update. Check out his blog at this link.
While we are on the subject of video - make sure that you go by and check out our buddy Rod Harlan’s DV Confidential - the one-stop site for news and noteworthy stuff in the world of broadcast media. You can even catch Rod live at the PMA08 show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Finally, it seems like Flickr groups are really taking some hold here. Today I was at the Lightroom Killer Tips website and saw that someone created a LKT Flickr Group to share pictures that they have worked on using presets from the site. I love the concept of the groups because they allow people who read blogs like this a chance to get out there and try their hand at creating stuff. The community building is great!
Have a great weekend everyone!
