Scott Kelby’s D700 Review | Blog and Layers TV Contest Winners | The Least (and most) Important CS4 Feature
I cannot think of any more ways to say that I am in love with the Nikon D700. Having had the privilege to play with one for a bit, I just think that having the benefits of the D3 in a smaller (and affordable body) has been awesome. While I’ve droolingly looked at a long lens for it, I have to say that the 24-70 has been really good to me on it.
There will be plenty of time to show you things I’ve done with it. If you want someone out there who really puts cameras through their paces, look no further than Scott Kelby. Recently he just posted an article that talks about the D700 - his likes, dislikes and why he thinks the camera is hot.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the two winners for our contests this week. First off, congratulations Don Siino for winning this week’s Layers TV contest, as well as a heartfelt congrats to Carolyn Ward for winning this week’s Layers Blog contest.
For the Layers Blog contest, the correct answer was Cheryl Graham, talking to us about how the new Illustrator CS4 deals with Artboards. If you haven’t checked out that tutorial, make sure you check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The Least (And Most) Talked About Feature in CS4
The Adobe CS4 Suite has brought us a wonderful set of things to check out. However, there has been one thing that we have not seen anyone talk about that I sincerely think will be a wonderful asset for anyone working in Adobe Applications.
If you click on the File menu you’ll now notice an option called Share My Screen. This is an option that you now have where you can get another person on the internet to get on to your computer and share the Photoshop experience. Instead of getting frustrated over the phone, trying to figure out how to explain to someone what the problem is with a given project, you can just invite them into your computer and show them first hand. I think training could be impacted, consulting, peer review - the applications of this really are far reaching. This feature definitely helps me stack the chips in favor of the upgrade, and something that I’ve been really interested to see that hasn’t gotten coverage. I understand - it’s not sexy. It just works. I for one just like things that -work-.
That’s it for this week everyone. Have a wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you guys back here Monday morning with a new contest!
