Scott on Layers TV, and Peeking in Your Bag

scott kelby on layerstv

This is an official Happy Friday to everyone. My vacation was cut very, very short by a really bad bout of Strep. I never thought I’d say it, but I am kind of glad to be getting back down to warmer weather soon.

The brain has been a little whacked since the vacation. It took a comment sent in from Mike for me to actually see that, yes, I was blogging with a Thursday image, and a Friday entry for a Tuesday show… Thank you so much Mike for being a faithful reader and pointing that out. Mike’s the first official winner of the “Let’s keep RC on track with his days” contest, and I will be sending you out a three months supply of Layers Magazine. If you guys aren’t subscribers.. you should be.. it’s a great thing we have here.

So.. I have to tell you, I’m completely honored to be able to have Scott Kelby on the show this week. The cool part of this guest interview is that Scott focused his tips solely on Indesign – a program that a lot of people don’t know he’s a master in. I just think it highlights how important it is to have more than one skill in your bag of tricks.

I’ll leave you with this: Our buddy Terry White has a post on his tech blog (go now) where he asks all of his readers to tell him what they got for the holidays. I’d like to ask the same of you. Leave me a comment on this post and tell me what kinds of things you rounded up this holiday. If they are techy, great.. if they are not.. hey that’s still great.. maybe it will help me with my Christmas list for next year.

Have a great Friday everyone, and thanks Mike for making sure that I know that it -is- Friday.

i don’t celebrate Christmas, but i bought, at the beginning of December, a video/mp3/photo player. it is made by archos, but is no longer made(i bought off of Tiger Direct). It’s amazing, it came with a TV docking pod that lets me record live tv, and a USB connector to attach to my camera’s USB cable and can download the photos to its 30 GB hard drive. I love it, wish it was still made by Archos. oh, and it was only $150. :)
