HOW I SPENT MY WEEKEND
Hey guys.. hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did. I’ll break into something personal for a sec. September 11 used to be a time for me where I spent it more mourning loss, and questioning so many things. I really make it a point to mention (politics and everything aside) that we should always spend a small moment contemplating what happened to our loved ones. A year ago on Sept 11= in a whilwhind of Karma, my wife and I were given our daughter Sabine and now the day is equally as hopeful. We’ll never forget.. and Sabie is here to make sure of that. Happy Birthday, Sabine – Daddy loves you!

Ok – now that we have that out of the way, Theres a couple of other things that are out there that I think are cool enough to mention, as well as our contest:

COOL FIND: NIKON PICTURETOWN
Looks like Nikon is now getting into the Picture storage business, and I’m definitely putting this one on the must watch list. Picturetown promises to keep all of your images and videos in one place. They even start you off with 2GB of storage for FREE. However, the part that i’m REALLY excited about is the use of the Eye-Fi card to be able to upload images wirelessly. I know that in the house we spend time taking pictures and movies of the baby just to leave them in the card forever. Taking the pain out of uploading would be a great plus.

NEW TOUR WITH DAVE CROSS – CREATIVE SUITE 4 UNLEASHED

I’m pretty excited about this. Immediately after Photoshop World (which i’m hoping you are coming to), Dave and I are hitting the road to some cities on the Creative Suite 4 Unleashed Tour! The premise here is pretty simple – we want to take a day to take your guys through some of the applications in the Creative Suite and show you how to make cool stuff with it! I’m going to be focusing on the Flash part – showing you the new features in Flash, as well as how to take Flash and make it work for you. Look.. i’m not one to tell you you NEED to learn code. It be nice.. but I’d rather show you how to do cool things that you can repeat, where to get code that you can quickly use, and get you up and running FAST. That’s what i’m working on for the tour.. so I really hope you guys join me on it.

The other thing I like about the tour. It’s only $49.00!! ($39.00 if you are a NAPP member) AND if you come, we’re giving you a free DVD. The DVD’s are more than that – so it’s like we are paying YOU to come. Definitely excited about this here!

planet Corey Rocking Planet Photoshop
If you are not checking out my co-host Corey Barker on Planet Photoshop, you are totally missing out on stuff. This week he did an awesome tutorial on how to get a rain effect on a hand, complete with rain bouncing back. Sick stuff. Put Planet Photoshop on your favorites list and go check him out.
