Hey everyone, happy Monday! Wanted to keep this short and sweet in an effort to get you guys to join in on the conversation on the post I setup on Friday on Photo Retouching. I have to say, it’s been an awesome experience to get people on there actually using the comments to tell their stories, share their positions, or even rant on the topic. I’ve gotten great amounts of comments on my Twitter page as well as my Facebook page, so you guys are proving to be a thoughtful and noisy lot, in the greatest sense of the word! Do make sure that you take a moment to check out the story below, and make sure you leave me some feedback on the Twitter, The Facebook, or right on the comments…. you’ve all shown comments can break the traditional (unfavorable) mold that commenting on blogs usually gets.. so many congrats for that!

sdtut Extended Depth of Field with Photoshop CS4
Today we have a really cool tutorial from Sean Duggan on using the new Auto Blend feature in Photoshop CS4 to show more of an extended depth of field:

“One of the great new improvements of Auto-Blend Layers in Photoshop CS4 is that you can now take a range of shots with different points of focus and Photoshop will composite them together with amazingly precise layer masks to give you a single image where everything is in focus. In this tutorial, we’ll take a look at this ultra-cool capability, as well as check out some simple batch-processing steps for working with RAW images.”
