Moby Gratis Rocks
I was chatting with some friends on my Twitter page, and we got to talking about the music artist Moby. I started asking, why is it that Moby’s got great 20-30 second music pieces? Then the tweets just go south with singing (which was honest ribbing.. since out of all of the concerts -rock, blues, everything – Moby is the number 2 best performer there.. we’re talking at least 100 concerts).
Well my friend Shadowcall sent me a link to the Moby site, and he pointed out something called Moby Gratis. Moby Gratis is a section of Moby’s site that you can sign up with. The cool part here is that he actually offers dozens of his musical pieces for non commercial, film student use… FOR FREE. All you have to do is request a license and it’s yours to use non commercially. I was listening through, and I absolutely love some of the stuff that he has there.. She’s Asleep is prob one of my favorites. A big thanks, and special commendation to Moby for making this available to all film/creative professionals out there. He just went up like 100 cool points right there..
