We're in NY May 5-8 | Mark Hamburg Off to Microsoft | Janine Warner on CSS
CATEGORIES: Living In Layers | RC | May 01, 2008
Hey - want to come to a cool class in NY and see Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski, Corey Barker, or myself? Want to do that for FREE? Next week you will be able to do just that!
Next week, from May 5-8, we are coming up and teaching a bunch of classes on random digital imaging and web stuff. On Wednesday I will be teaching people how to create online galleries at 10:00am and 3:00pm. Thursday's got me teaching random Photoshop techniques for retouching.
Scott and Matt are teaching Monday and Tuesday. Corey and I have Wednesday and Thursday.

Mark Hamburg Leaving Adobe
John Nack and other assorted sources have reported that Mark Hamburg has left Adobe and headed up to Microsoft. Check a little bit more of that, and a cool tutorial from Janine Warner, after the jump.
Mark Hamburg and Adobe and Microsoft
One of the things that I found really cool about John's post was not so much the Mark leaving bit, but I liked the fact that he pretty much just called out ZDNET for their article on the deal - inaccuracies and all.
Things to note:
Mark's been a programmer on the Photoshop team since version 2.0.
Most recently, he's the guy that's leading the new Photoshop Lightroom.
I guess those two things gave a good avenue to persue the "Going to work on a competing product" slant to the coverage. It was very cool of John to jump in and correct the article - I mean.. the parting can't be that bad:
Check out Photoshop News - who covered Mark's last days
So.. from the staff over on the Layers Magazine side of things. Congrats Mark - may you be as successful in Microsoft as your many wins over at Adobe!
Janine Warner - CSS Tutorial
We like Janine Warner. We like her for her quick and concise way of jumping in and explaining Dreamweaver's CSS Selector functionality in this article. Believe you me - give it a read and it will all be clear to you. Many thanks!
Keeping it light on Thursday everyone.. have a great one, and we will see you back here tomorrow with the Blog Contest winner!
