Who Needs a Frame Anyway?

If I’m Placing a lot images in a document, sometimes I’ll inadvertently forget to draw a Frame to contain an image before I go to File > Place. Do I need to click Cancel, and draw a Frame first to Place the image?

Nope! Just click Open to continue. You’ll get a “loaded graphic” icon to let you know that the image is ready to be placed. If you click on an empty part of your document, the whole graphic will be placed in a Frame that’s created on the fly to the same size as the image at actual size.
